a forum for living better

On Wednesday night, the Mt. Lebanon Community Relations Board brought together representatives from seven community organizations to discuss resources available to people who may find themselves in a bad spot.

“Finding Help in Mt. Lebanon: A Living Better Forum,” covered topics ranging from unemployment and senior living to mental health and drug addiction and where avenues for help lie. While there may be a stigma attached to asking for help, the representatives from St. Clair Hospital Community Support Group, Outreach Teen & Family Services, Family Hospice and Palliative Care, Samaritan Counseling Center, Gateway Rehabilitation Services, South Hills Interfaith Ministries and Mt. Lebanon Village all want to annihilate that stigma. They are here to help.

Mary Robb Jackson, long-time reporter for KDKA-TV, moderated the event, adding her own stories and reflections to the illuminating discussion.
