Mt. Lebanon Magazine photographer Robert Papke often shares photos of his adventures. Here’s what he has to say about his pre-COVID visit to 1000 Steps Beach in Laguna Beach, California:
The first I heard of this beach was in an article from Trip Advisor on the “10 Top Ten Beaches in the US,” and for the sake of transparency, there are only about 235 steps. The steps do drop at a steep angle, but there are not 1000, thank goodness, and the effort is well worth the exercise.
This beach area is filled with eye candy, both natural and man-made, from the rock formations to the flora and fauna, the little grottos, the pools created by crashing waves and to the real estate clinging to the hills above. This beach lives up to the hype.
