This scene, taken from Washington Road looking toward Lebanon Avenue and on toward Cedar Boulevard in the 1910s, shows Mt. Lebanon’s early development as farmland gave way to the suburbs. Mt. Lebanon would officially become a township on February 6, 1912.

This year Mt. Lebanon Municipality will celebrate its 100th anniversary and mtl magazine will feature excerpts from The Way We Were history book, published in 2000, and updates on the municipality’s centennial celebrations.
